[edit]Kisvárda is on the electric train line between Budapest and Moscow, it is near Nyíregyháza and Záhony by train.
It is the third-largest settlement in the region after Nyíregyháza and Mátészalka.

[edit]- Greek Catholic Church - Built in 1877 with arched Gothic windows and baroque decoration above the door.
- 1 Kisvárda Castle (kisvárdai vár Kisvárda) (on the northwestern edge of the city’s historic centre, more than 800 m from downtown, near Highway 4149). A 15th-century castle now used as a theatre.
- Reformed Church - built in 1871.
- Intersection Museum (Rétközi Múzeum), Csillag u. 5, ☏ +36 45 405 154. Art museum housed in the former synagogue building, which was built in 1900.
- Roman Catholic Church - The church was replaced by a church from the time of St. Ladislaus, part of which was later demolished by the troops of István Bocskai, which was then rebuilt by Kata Várday, but was mostly destroyed during the fire of 1670, only the sanctuary remained. Its stone tower was built in 1786, with Gothic supporting pillars and arched windows at the back, and the front and interior are also in Baroque style.
