Kurikka is a town in Southern Ostrobothnia. The article also includes the former municipalities of Jurva and 1 Jalasjärvi, which have been annexed to Kurikka.

[edit]- 1 Kurikka church. Yellow stone church, with an older belfry, seating 1000 persons. Next to it there's a cemetery with war memorials.

- 3 Moose statue (Kurikan hirvi). One of Kurikka's symbols, a statue of a moose welcoming visitors to the town.

- 4 Legenda statue. A statue of the local legend, Juha Mieto, who was one of the world's most successful cross country skiers in the 1970s and early 1980s. These days Mr. Mieto is a public person who has served as a member of the parliament, and an unofficial champion in eating mämmi each Easter.

- 5 Kurikka museum, Museotie 17. A set of 19th century houses with the interiors from the same period, showcasing local life back then.

- 6 Museum locomotive Risto. Steam locomotive standing next to the disused railway station.
