Liptovsky Hradok is a small town in the Liptov region of Central Slovakia.

Get in

Exit at the 49.0377819.721361 train station. Bus station is right next to it, with connections esp. from surrounding cities, like Liptovsky Mikulas.

Being a small town, most of it can be visited by foot in a short time.

The local castle

The most favorite summer sports are tennis, soccer, roller skating and the cycling in neighboring forest valleys.

Skiing on the nearby hill is favorite sport in the winter. Ice-skating is also possible on the river Vah.

In the city centre, you can stay in the Hotel Smrek [dead link] (smrek means "spruce" in English). Price is starting as low as €14/night. Other, but more expensive option, is accommodation in the Grand Castle.
