Longxi (陇西) is a county in China’s Gansu Province.

Tourism resources are mainly concentrated in the county seat. The county seat is the town of Gongchang.

A complex of halls and temples dedicated to the veneration of the ancestors of the Li family, including Li Shimin, the second emperor of the Tang Dynasty who is also known as Emperor Taizong. Free.

- 2 Longxi County Museum (陇西县博物馆), East Side of Li Family Dragon Palace Square, Gongchang Town (巩昌镇李家龙宫广场东侧) (opposite the Li Family Dragaon Palace), ☏ +86 932 5932758 (bookings), +86 932 6622006 (enquiries), [email protected]. 09:00-17:30, no entry after 17:00, closed on Mondays. The museum provides a comprehensive introduction to the history of the county and has a special exhibition on the Li Family. Free.


- 3 Weiyuan Tower (威远楼), 78 Xida Street, Gongchang Town (巩昌镇西大街78号) (bus nos.1 2, 3, 4, 9, 12, 62, 301 and 302), ☏ +86 932 6622490. Sa Su 09:00-12:00, 14:30-17:00, closed on weekdays. A defensive structure originally built over 950 years ago during the Northern Song Dynasty. It was rebuilt and expanded in the first year of the Ming Dynasty (1368). Free.
