Extremely picturesque, the village is a magnet for tourists. Prominent sites are the village itself, the pretty Renaissance castle, the Catholic and Protestant churches and the view from the village of the Proches Bastides, a large fortified farmhouse dating to the Middle Ages.

    Tomb of Albert Camus

The cemetery is home to two personalities of French literature:

    • 1 Tomb of Albert Camus. It was in 1958 that the author of L'Étranger decided to settle in Lourmarin, in the Luberon, which he compared to the landscapes of Algeria. In 1960, he died in a serious traffic accident. It is in the small cemetery of Lourmarin that he rests in peace. His grave bears a simple plaque with his name, first name and dates of birth and death. To the left of the tomb is that of his wife Francine.
    • 2 Tomb of Henri Bosco. Henri Bosco died in Nice, but he wanted to be buried in Lourmarin.
    Église Saint-André

The heritage of the town is quite substantial, both religious and civil. Part of this heritage is protected as historical monuments.

    • 3 Église Saint-André. It dates from the 11th century.
    • 4 Belfry. It is a bell tower built in the 17th century. The bell measures 70 cm in diameter, it was cast in Carpentras by JL Romain in 1732. The belfry was built on the ruins of an old stately castle.
    • 5 Protestant Temple. From 1806 housing an organ dating from 1840. Temple protestant (Lourmarin) (Q22986647) on Wikidata
