Lower Assam is a region west of Assam, India, considered as the extension of the Dooars region of West Bengal. This region includes the districts of Kakrajhar, Dhubri, South Salmara Mankachar, Chirang, Bangalgaon, Goalpara, Baksa, Barpeta, Nalbari, Kamrup, Udalguri, Darrang, Kamrup Metro, Sonitpur and Biswanath
