This winter sports centre is not far from Campo Carlo Magno, an alpine pass between the Brenta group and Presanella, in the Adamello-Brenta Natural Park.

The nearest airports are in:

• Bergamo — 160 km, 3 hours by car
• Brescia — 130 km, 2 hours and 30 minutes by car
• Venice — 250 km, 3 hours and 30 minutes by car

• Trento — 73 km, 1 hour and 30 minutes by car
• Brescia — 130 km, 2 hours and 30 minutes by car

From Trento there are scheduled buses that make direct connections on a daily basis.

The town centre is quite small and can be easily explored on foot.

• Skiing is the main draw here: 60 km of skiing slopes with cableways surround it completely. The slopes of Madonna di Campiglio are connected to those of 46.314210.81411 Marilleva , 46.30383910.8595032 Folgarida and to those of 46.159910.7663 Pinzolo forming a single ski area with more than 150 km of slopes.
• Skating is possible on the local lake, or at the ice arena of Pinzolo.
• Curling, Broomball and hockey can be practiced in the ice arena of Pinzolo.

• Two areas dedicated to paragliding, one at the 46.24725710.8130161 Pradalago peak and the other at 46.22273810.8478312 Mount Spinale. Further possibilities are again in Pinzolo.

The surrounding magnificent mountains provide numerous climbing and hiking opportunities, on the 450 km of trails for trekking and mountain excursions, vias ferratas of varying difficulty.

• Spressa DOP, an old and tasty local cheese
• Garlic salami from Val Rendena and Garlic bacon

The area is covered with hotels, hostels and similar - so there's no shortage of those (except obviously in high season).

In the summer season, even a few campsites are available in the area (though not directly in Madonna de Campiglio) - they also offer houses and beds, in addition to tent-places:
