- Museum-Natural History, Science Department building, has natural history dioramas and a planetarium.
- Greenhouse, adjacent to science building with a collection of cacti, agaves, and representative crops like cotton plants, open to the public.
- Whipple Art Gallery, located in the SMSU Library and Founders Hall.
- ADM & SMSU Environmental Learning Area, 22 acre plot on northwest side of campus near Matke Field with trails to explore prairie, woodland, and marsh.
