Mount Monadnock, one of the most climbed mountains in the world, is located in Jaffrey, NH.

The region is the historical center of the contra dance revival that began in the 1960s. The traditional folk dance is easy to learn, making it a welcoming option for travelers without prior experience. Dances are held on first Saturdays in Peterborough and every Monday in Nelson.
