    Located at the crossroads of US 60 and Missouri 37. You can access Monett from Springfield on US 60. There is also a connection to Monett from Mt. Vernon and Interstate 44 south on State Highway "H". From Joplin you would take Interstate 44 East and then Missouri 37 to Monett. From Arkansas you will arrive from the south on Missouri 37.

    The best way to get around is by car. Monett is a small town and you can park and walk all of the downtown area.

    By bike or on foot

    Monett is a fairly small community and you will often see people walking/biking to and from work, classes, or even grocery shopping.

    • City Park On the south side of town on Missouri HWY 37 and Missouri HWY 60. It is 75 acres and you can hike, swim in the Olympic size pool. Cook out on a grill and children are allowed to fish in the small lake. There is a casino that is available to rent for family gatherings and special events. It has nature trails, exercise trails, 4 lighted tennis courts and 1 lit basketball court.
    • Monett Historical Museum Located in the center of the historical downtown, in the newly renovated 115 year old Monett State Bank building. 422 E. Broadway

    • Monett South Park Next to the Golf Course on HWY 37 and HWY 60, this 75 acre park features every amenity you could want. You can hike, swim at the new Aquatic Center, cook out on a grill and children are allowed to fish in the small lake. There is a casino that is available to rent for family gatherings and special events. It has nature trails, exercise trails, 4 lighted tennis courts and 1 lit basketball court. Also the location of the area YMCA.
    • Monett North Park As its name suggests it's on the north side of town off of HWY 37, and features 7 Baseball/Softball fields as well as Tennis Courts, Batting Cages, a Skate Park, and a playground.

    • Burl Fowler Stadium Home of the Cubs, this stadium serves the Monett school districts football/soccer/track teams
    • Monett Motor Speedway Located on the East side of town, The Monett Motor Speedway, also known as “The Grand Ol’ Lady”, is said to be the oldest running dirt track in the state of Missouri. The 3/8 mile track with 11 degree banking opened in 1970 and has been running every season since

    • 18 Hole Golf Course On the South side of town across from the City Park. It has Bermuda grass fairways and nice rolling hills. If you are a golfer, then this is a must do.

    • Community Events Center Constructed in 2018 the new events center in downtown will host concerts, farmers markets, The annual Repurposed Faire, and several other community held events.

    • Downtown The downtown area of Monett has several shops and stores. It is nice to park your car, get out and walk around and window shop.
