Get in
[edit]Buses from Dar es Salaam with the Al Shaedy bus company take about 7 or 8 hours with a stop in Morogoro. Buses in both direction leave once daily at sunrise. They cost around TSh 10,000.
Buses from Dodoma with Amani bus company take about 3 hours and cost TSh 4000-6000 one way.
You can also use Kimambo buses to travel to Dodoma the price is the same. Both companies are friendly and will send you to the other if their bus leaves at a better time. Buses run roughly every few hours.
Get around

Eat
[edit]Food is pretty basic in Mpwapwa but you can always get a tasty Chipsi Mayai (chip omelette)
- Silver Restaurant serves basics like rice, ugali, fish, chicken and beef. Menu depends on what they have in. Good value TSh 1500-2500 for chicken and rice.
- Hafun's serves pretty much the same range as Silver.
Drink
[edit]Tap water is not safe unless boiled or filtered. Bottled water is available and costs about TSh 700 for 1.5 litres.
Soft drinks 'sodas' are available and cost TSh 400
Beer is served in most places and prices for local beers such as Safari and Tusker are around TSh 1200.
Sleep
[edit]Single room in hotel for Tsh 7000, Tsh 15,000 with own bathroom.
Connect
[edit]There is a post office in town, follow the big aerial. Closes around 4:30PM.
Mpwapwaeacher Training College provides Internet for TSh 500 for half an hour, and TSh 500 for printing per page.
