    Nanded is a city in Marathwada.

    Nanded (Marathi: नांदेड), is the second largest city in Marathwada region of Maharashtra state of India. Nanded is also district headquarters of Nanded District in Marathwada region, or Nanded revenue division. It is known as an important holy place for the Sikh faith.

    Direct trains are available to Nanded from Mumbai, Aurangabad, Hyderabad, Bangalore, Nagpur, Patna, Delhi, Pune, Sriganganagar, Rajasthan and Amritsar.

    Nanded is 650km east of Mumbai by road and about a six-hour drive from Aurangabad and Hyderabad and 11-hour drive from Pune. Several passenger bus services operate from Nanded providing easy overnight connectivity with almost every major city in Maharashtra. These buses are reasonably priced and fairly punctual. The comfort level differs greatly from operator to operator.

    • 1 Shri Guru Gobind Singh Ji Airport (NDC  IATA). Nanded is connected by three flights in a week to Mumbai. Nanded has the dubious distinction of having Marathwada region's first airport, but due to negligence, it was not developed. Now it has been renovated and named as 'Shri Guru Gobind Singh ji Airport'. Go Air has started its services from Amritsar-New Delhi-Mumbai-Nanded-Nagpur.     Gurudwara: Every year thousands of Sikhs, from all over the country flock to Nanded to pay respects to Takht Sachkhand Shri Hazur Abchalnagar Sahib. The Gurudwara trust is gearing up for the tercentenary celebrations, scheduled for October 2008. Its about 10 mins away from the railway station.

    Kaleshwar temple: Its a Shiva temple, on the banks of river Godavari. You can even get some primitive boating experience in a huge saucer-shaped vessel. Its actually in the village Vishnupuri, on the outskirts of Nanded.

    Treasure Bazar: Eat, shop and watch movies. The biggest mall in the city. It is also having three star restaurant.
