[edit]Highway bus from Sapporo with 4 round trips every day. There are other bus services from Asahikawa, Okoppe and Horokanai.

[edit]National Route 40 passes through the city on its way from Asahikawa to Wakkanai.

JR Sōya Main Line runs through the city. The local train to the south from Nayoro Station makes 5 round trips per day, and to the north 3 round trips per day.

- 4 Nisshin Station (日進駅).
- 5 Nayoro Station (名寄駅). In the center of the city. The express train stops here.

- 7 Fūren Station (風連駅).
By bus
