    Neustadt an der Weinstraße is a city at the German Wine Route in the district Südliche Weinstraße in the state Rhineland-Palatinate.

    • 1 Neustadt (Weinstraße) Hauptbahnhof. It is a key intersection point of a number of rail lines so has good direct connections to major cities in the region such as Frankfurt, Mannheim, Kaiserslautern, Homburg, Saarbrücken as well as further afield to Darmstadt, Dresden, Leipzig, Erfurt. Local connections to Homburg–Osterburken (S1) and Kaiserslautern–Mosbach (S2) as well as Ludwigshafen and Landau in der Pfalz.

    The town lies just of the A65, about 30 km from Ludwigshafen and 50 km from Karlsruhe.

    • 1 Hambacher Schloss. A defensive site for centuries the current building dates back to the 18th century. The castle is best known for the Hambacher Fest, a German national democratic and unity festival in 1832.
    • 2 Neustadt/Weinstraße Railway Museum (Eisenbahnmuseum). Includes a couple of steam trains from the Palatine Railways as well as other rail machinery.
