    The North Coast Beaches are the beaches in the state of Ohio, United States, along the south shore of Lake Erie. Lake Erie was named after the Erie Native American tribe who lived along its southern shore prior to exploration by Europeans. The coastal counties of Ohio and their respective beaches include:

    • 1 Ashtabula is a small town lakefront town near the state border of Ohio and Pennsylvania.
    • Catawba is a boating and fishing haven on Lake Erie.
    • 2 Cedar Point , enormous amusement park on the Cedar Point peninsula.
    • 3 Conneaut is a lakefront town in the northeastern corner of Ohio.
    • Fairport Harbor is a quaint town with a kid-friendly beach at the mouth and along the eastern bank of the Grand River.
    • 4 Geneva-on-the-Lake includes Geneva State Park and strip of old-fashioned tourist attractions.
    • 5 Mentor is home to the largest natural beach on Lake Erie, Mentor Headlands State Park, approximately 20 miles east of Cleveland.
    • Painesville is a Connecticut Western Reserve town and county seat of Lake County
    • 6 Port Clinton is a quaint fishing town between Cleveland and Toledo.
    • 7 Put-in-Bay on South Bass Island, catch a ferry from Port Clinton or Catawba.
    • 8 Vermilion has a quaint downtown (Harbour Town), a nice public beach and boasts a large number of marinas, beachfront accommodations and fishing charters.
