    Pelicans in Djoudj

    The Djoudj National Bird Sanctuary, in northern Biffeche, north east of St-Louis, is a UNESCO World Heritage site. Of almost 400 species of birds, the most visible are pelicans and flamingos.

    Many of St. Louis's buildings hold their old character with many brightly colored buildings and beautiful balconies to be seen all around the island. And you can go to Guet Ndar, the fishing village on the Langue de Barberie, to watch the fisherman bring in their catch.
