- Pedra da Fortaleza, Guararema. Highest point of the city, at around 964 meters in altitude.
- Santuário Nossa Senhora Mãe dos Peregrinos. Simple in architecture, built on top of a huge boulder. On the grounds is a 15-meter-tall giant ficus tree with 1.8-meter-tall roots.

[edit | edit source]The Elephant Rock Environmental Protection Area (Área de Proteção Ambiental da Pedra do Elefante) is a 2563-hectare park about 10 kilometers from town, with a number of attractions.
