Osage Beach is a town in Missouri, on Lake of the Ozarks. It is known as "the heart of Lake of the Ozarks" due to how many popular activities it is home to.

[edit | edit source]Osage Beach was founded as Zebra in 1886, and was renamed to its current name in 1935, a few years after the creation of the lake.
Geography
[edit | edit source]The town is cut in half by the Grandglaize Arm of Lake of the Ozarks, with the two sides connected by the Grand Glaize Bridge.

[edit | edit source]- From the northeast, U.S. Route 54 runs from Lake Ozark and Jefferson City.
- From the southwest, U.S. Route 54 runs from Camdenton and Linn Creek.
- From the east, Missouri Route 42 runs from Iberia and Brumley.
By boat
[edit | edit source]Osage Beach is on the Shawnee and Turkey Bends, as well as the Grandglaize Arm, of Lake of the Ozarks.
Get around
[edit | edit source]A car is necessary for getting around Osage Beach. Alternatively, you can rent a boat to visit waterfront establishments and travel by water to other parts of the lake.
