Paray-le-Monial is a little town in the Saône-et-Loire department in Bourgogne-Franche-Comté in France. It is the sister city of Bad Dürkheim, Germany and Wells, England.

[edit]- 1 Basilica of Paray-le-Monial. The basilica is the major attraction in Paray-le-Monial. It was established in the 11th century and is nowadays quite popular with pilgrims.

- The 18th-century cloister.
- 3 La Clayette Castle (some 20 km to the south-east). Romantic moated castle.

Stay safe
[edit]The town is not very dangerous and there is hardly any crime. You can walk through the town at night at any time. Especially when it's pilgrim-season you should be careful as there are many tourists in town around that time.
