    Pieniny National Park is in Poland. Pieniny National Park (Polish: Pieniński Park Narodowy) is a protected area located in the heart of Pieniny Mountains in the southernmost part of Poland. Administratively, the Park lies in the Lesser Poland voivodeship on the border with Slovakia.

    The Pieniny mountain chain is divided into three ranges: Pieniny Spiskie, Małe Pieniny and the Pieniny Właściwe range where the Park is located. The Park’s area is 23.46 square kilometres (9.06 sq mi), of which 13.11 km² is forested. One-third (7.5 km²) is strictly protected. On the Slovak side of the mountains there is a parallel park called the Pieninský národný park.

    The most pleasant way of visiting Pieniny National Park is the Dunajec River Gorge rafting. The rafting season lasts from 1 April till 31 October, and runs every day except for Corpus Christi and the first day of Easter.

    Rafts set out from the rafting marina at Sromowce-Kąty, where there is parking, an exhibition pavilion for the Pieniny National Park, Tourist Information Office, souvenir shops, restaurant and ticket offices.

    There are two destination points:

    1. Szczawnica – total length: 18 km, taking 2 hours 15 min - cost PLN49 for an adult ticket.
    2. Krościenko - total length: 23 km, taking 2 hours 45 min - cost PLN59 for an adult ticket.

    A minibus ticket to return back to Sromowce-Kąty can be bought for an additional PLN9.
