    1 Tampere Airport (TMP IATA) is located in Pirkkala, 17 km southwest of the city of Tampere. Finnair has daily flight from Helsinki (35 min). SAS has direct flights from Arlanda Airport most days (one hour). Air Baltic flies from Copenhagen, Frankfurt, Munich, Oslo and Riga. Ryanair flies once a week from London-Stansted.

    Pirkkala Old Church
    • 1 Pirkkala Old Church (Pirkkalan vanha kirkko), Anian rantatie 226. A red-brick church from 1921, designed by Ilmari Launis.
    • 2 Sankila Manor (Sankilan kartano), Sankilantie 35 (Bus 65), +358 40 511 2798. You can see the original Finnish farmyard animals in their real environment: Finnish horses, rare western-Finnish cattle and eastern-Finnish cattle, ie captive, curious Finnish sheep, country chickens, country cats, Finnish Lapphund and Shetland pony. The farmyard with its summer cafés is open during the summer and there is free access to the area.
