    Pistoia is a province of the Tuscany Region of Italy. The mountains of Pistoia and the resorts of Abetone and Val di Luce are tourist destinations for skiers. An additional attraction is the Villa La Magia, an important Medici villa that is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

    • 1 Pistoia — rarely visited by tourists, but its location makes it easy to visit all of Tuscany
    • 2 Monsummano — provides access to Padule Fucecchio, an important wildlife reserve for birdwatching, and close to the tourist complex of caves and thermal baths
    • 3 Montecatini Terme — renowned for its thermal waters (springs), and its thermal and historical buildings in the Art Nouveau style

    The A11 running from east to west is the only motorway in the province.

    The Porrettana Railway runs to Pistoia from Porretta Terme and Bologna. The Maria Antonia Railway runs between Florence and Lucca.

    Every year, in October, the Florence-Pistoia is held. This road cycling time trial passes through the municipalities of Quarrata and Pistoia. The race is included in the UCI Europe Tour calendar, class 1.1.
