Pornainen is a municipality in the northeastern part of Uusimaa. The municipality is part of the Greater Helsinki sub-region.

[edit]Pornainen is a small municipality, around 60 km northeast of Helsinki and 18 km east of Järvenpää. The municipal center is known as Kirveskoski.

[edit]There are no other than smaller regional roads through Pornainen. The distance to the nearest highway, E75, is more than 15 kilometers when going in the direction of Järvenpää.
