Get in
[edit]By car
[edit]Port Washington is a quick hop off of I-43 between Milwaukee and Sheboygan. It is on Lake Michigan and it has a great marina to pull your boat into.
From The North
Coming from Sheboygan take I-43 South, exit Highway 32 South near the Allen-Edmonds Shoe Store.
From The West
From the West Bend/Newburg Area, take Highway 33 East till you get to the lake.
From The South
Coming from Milwaukee take I-43 North, exit Highway 32 North just after the Grafton Exit. Highway 32 merges with Highway 33 to take you to the downtown area.
By bus
[edit]Milwaukee County Transit System operates the Route 143 Ozaukee County Express[dead link], connecting Milwaukee and Cedarburg to the Port Washington park and ride lot. The schedule is mainly aimed at commuters.
- 1 Saukville & Walmart Park and Ride bus station (1.5 miles west of downtown near I-43, exit #100.).
Get around
[edit]This is a small Wisconsin town. It is nice to park on the street and walk around the downtown. You can also stroll out to the lighthouse on a pleasant day, but it is kinda of slippery. If you park your boat, the marina is in the downtown. The whole place is very main street USA.
