    Map of Prats de Lluçanès

The first written document that refers to Prats de Lluçanès dates from the year 905 and is the act of consecration of Santa Maria de Lluçà.

From the beginning of the 11th century until well into the 15th century, the population of Prats did not concentrate into any urban nucleus, but on its plateau there were important groups of peasant houses, depending mainly on the batllies of Torroella and Soler de N'Hug.

The first church of Sant Vicenç, the patron saint of Prats, does not appear documented with parish status until the year 1063, and it is around it that the birth of the population of Prats took place.
