Rajpur Sonarpur and Baruipur are two adjacent towns in the South 24 Parganas district of West Bengal, at the southern fringes of Kolkata. It is known for bird sanctuary and ancestral houses of stalwarts like Chintamoni Kar and Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose.
