Get in
[edit]Rastatt is situated on the A5 motorway and on major railway lines that connect Frankfurt with Basel. The nearest ICE high speed train stops are in Karlsruhe and Baden-Baden.
A free-of-charge ferry (Rheinfähre Plittersdorf – Seltz / Bac Seltz – Plittersdorf or Bac de Seltz) crosses the Rhine in the vicinity of Rastatt. On the French side, you can take a regional (TER) train from Strasbourg, get off at the station of Seltz and walk through the picturesque village to the ferry.
