Ravalli is a village in Northwestern Montana.

[edit]Named for a 19th century missionary, Ravalli's population is under 200 people. At one time, the largest herd of bison in the United States was here.

[edit]US Highway 93 connects Ravalli with Missoula to the south and Kalispell to the north. Montana highway 200 branches off from US 93 and heads northwest to Thompson Falls.

[edit]- Jocko River Trout Hatchery (10 miles south) is a Fish, Wildlife & Parks facility that produces trout eggs for stocking all over Montana. Visitor hours are daily 8:30AM-4:30PM. Best to call ahead for a tour and learn more about Montana's fish management practices.
