[edit]1 Redruth station is part of the London Paddington to Penzance line.
Get around
[edit]Buses going to Penzance, Truro, and various destinations in between stop across the street from the train station. Most are double-decker buses and the views from the top deck are excellent; many have free wi-fi and charging ports. As of 2023, a daily pass good on all local buses operating in Cornwall can be purchased for £5.

- 2 King Edward Mine, King Edward Mine, Troon, Camborne TR14 9HW (Outside of Camborne near to the village of Troon off the A30), ☏ +44 1209 614681, [email protected]. 10AM-3PM. A museum and visitor centre on the topic of Cornish tin mining history, with working displays of machinery. The site has a cafe and shop containing specialist books and gifts. £9 adults, £2 Under 16s, Free for Under 5s, £20 Family Ticket.
- 3 Wheal Basset Stamps, Carnkie, Redruth. Ruins of the former Wheal Basset stamphouses and tin processing plant.
- 4 Tolgus Tin, New Portreath Rd, Redruth TR16 4HN, ☏ +44 1209 203280. This machinery, set up in 1865, pulverised mining waste which still contained useful amounts of tin. The ore was refined and sent for smelting; it's nowadays made into jewellery.
- 5 Carn Brea. Rocky hilltop with a view of the sea, a small castle, a large stone monument, and iron age stone circles

[edit]- Mineral Tramways Trails. Explore Cornwall's mining heritage by cycling or walking along the mineral tramways trails, there are many ruins of former engine houses and tin processing facilities which stand tall within the landscape.
