[edit]- 1 Tomb of Mir Madan (মীর মদনের সমাধি Mīr Madaner Samādhi). Mir Madan was one of the generals of Nawab Siraj ud-Daulah who died in the Battle of Plassey in 1757. Mir Madan fought for the Nawab, whereas the commander-in-chief Mir Jafar and others remained standstill. A British cannonball wounded and killed him at 2PM on 23 June 1757. The erected tomb in his memory is a monument protected by the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI).
