Rincón del Mar is in Western Costa Norte. It is a tiny village about 15 km from San Onofre. It has a lot of hotels and hostels with a lot of tour operators going to all sorts of places.
Understand
[edit]The village relies almost completely on tourism and fishing. The tours you can do here are very affordable if compared to Cartagena (Colombia).
Get in
[edit]The trick to getting in is to find an accommodation beforehand and ask the hostel/hotel. There are almost always motor taxis or taxis waiting as soon as you get off the bus, but check the price from a respectable service beforehand.
You can also enter by car without trouble.
Get around
[edit]The town is small, so you can walk from one side to the other in 10-15 minutes.
See
[edit]Enjoy the beach or see the manglares. Also many birds to listen to.
Do
[edit]A lot of tours. The most famous of these would be to the Island Tour. Island Mucura, Tintipán, and Santa Cruz El Isolate are of the most famous featuring beautiful waters, lots of accomodations, and one of the most populated areas per square meter in the Americas.
Plankton tour- this tour will take you to watch the sunset in the sea and then take you to a secluded lake where you can swim and watch as your hands and feet light up while you swim.
Manglares Tour - visit the manglares and see animals such as birds and even sloths.

[edit]Lots of sea food. You can eat cocktail shrimp, fresh fish, crabs, and much more.

[edit]There are a lot of affordable places to buy beers or cocktails along the beach.

[edit]There are a good amount of hostels that can be found online and in person.
