Understand
[edit]A gateway to nature, Roseau is home to snowmobile manufacturer Polaris Industries.
Roseau is 22 miles from Lake of the Woods, the northernmost point in the contiguous US48. The Northwest Angle, a peninsula on Lake of the Woods, is part of Minnesota but north of the 49° parallel — the only road access is through Manitoba.
Get in
[edit]The most convenient way to get to Roseau is by car. The major highways that will bring you to Roseau are Highway 11 (East-West) and Highway 89 (North-South).
Get around
[edit]In Roseau, it's common to see people riding ATV's, golf carts and even snowmobiles in the winter around town (although this is not encouraged, for safety reasons). A bicycle trail around the edges of the city goes into a beautiful city park.
As there is no public transit, a car is typically the best mode of transportation.
