Understand
[edit]The name literally means "Dragon King". The city is best known today for its outlet mall and the large Daihatsu car factory, but it was once a stop along the Tosando Road (東山道) which connected Kyoto with the Tohoku Region. The station here was Kagami no Shuku (鏡宿).

[edit]There is no train station in Ryuo but it can be reached by bus from Omihachiman Station in Omihachiman or Yasu Station in Yasu. Buses also depart from Kyoto on weekends and holidays for the Outlet Mall.
