Public transport in Stockholm County includes some ferry lines. Line 80, previously called Sjövägen, is useful for visitors to the city, as it offers a great view of the Stockholm harbour year round, covered by the public transport ticket system.

Understand

Regular SL tickets are good on this line, in contrast to the commercial sightseeing ferries. A Visa or Mastercard chip can be used to buy a single ticket; 39 kr for adults as of 2022.

Various vessels are used for the line. The newest ferries are battery powered. Dogs and bicycles are allowed on board.

Nacka

Nacka is a maritime suburb. The ferry calls at Saltsjökvarn, Kvarnholmen and Nacka Strand. These places were industrial areas which have been re-developed into offices and housing.

The northern leg of the line is less frequented. It serves the waterfront suburbs, as well as the Bogesund nature reserve.

This is the end station, and the boat loops back to Storholmen and Lidingö.
