History
[edit]Geography
[edit]This locality is cut in two by the course of the Port au Beurre River which has its source at the confluence of the Lemoine river (from the southeast) and the brook des Benoit (coming from the southwest). The Pot au Beurre River, a serpentine watercourse with a slight drop (12 m (39 ft), between its source and its mouth) which passes on the west side of the village, has marked the history of the locality. Historically, agricultural and forestry development occurred gradually on each side of this river.
