[edit]The Saiq Airport does not host regular flights. The nearest airport with regular flights is Muscat International Airport.
At the 1 Jabel Akdhar Police Check Point only 4WD and SUV cars are allowed to pass. It's recommended to drive carefully and use a low gear, as the road is steep. There are some locals who offer you the 30 km ride uphill to Saiq for a fee.
Coming from Muscat you can take bus line 53 or 54 to the town Birkat Al Mouz. There you need to rent a 4WD car or ask a local to give you a ride, for example at the police checkpoint.
