Sakunami is a hot spring town, so pretty much the only thing to do is loll about in hot water. Ichinobo (see Sleep) permits day-use guests to drop in.

    • Ichinobo (300m from Iwamatsu, down a slope and over a small bridge.). This is a very nice hotel and has both indoor and outdoor baths, though the outdoor bath is rather small. Free bus to/from Sakunami station running hourly. Bath for ¥1,700.
    • Iwamatsu. A big outdoor area with a few baths next to a river. Great just after winter when the snow from the mountains is melting and the river is rushing by. Onsen for overnight guests only.
