[edit | edit source]- . There are several basic shops in San Juan, selling soft drinks, chocolate bars and cookies. It is very hard to get fruit and/or vegetables here. Petrol can be bought by asking at the Su Amiga shop.

[edit | edit source]San Juan (3,660 m) has many basic accommodations without heating. Cots and blankets are provided. Some have heated showers for Bs. 5.
- Hospedaje Max is opposite Hostal Magica. At Max you can get a recent and decent double room with private bathroom (hot water on request) for Bs. 80 per night. Nice and warm and with electricity for about two hours a day.
- Magica de San Juan, San Juan - has a pub and fireplace. Doubles from US$40 per night.
