Sevoke (Bengali: সেবক Sebak) is a small town in the Darjeeling district of West Bengal.

[edit]The town is near the border with the state of Sikkim, on the bank of River Teesta, with two bridges, Coronation Bridge and Sevoke Railway Bridge, over it.

- 1 Coronation Bridge (Baghpool). You can see the turbulent Teesta roaring below. Near the bridge is a temple of Kali, the goddess of destruction, considered very holy. There are two tiger statues at one entrance of the bridge.
- 2 Sevokeshwari Kali Temple. Goddess Dakshina Kali is worshipped here. People from far off places come here to pray and worship her. This temple was built in 1952 by cutting down the Sevak Hill.
- 3 Mahananda Wildlife Sanctuary (between the Teesta and Mahananda rivers), ☏ +91 83370 66882, [email protected]. First officially declared a sanctuary in 1949, with a total area of 127 km2 (49 sq mi), it's home to Asian elephants, forest boars, sambar deer, leopards, mountain black bears, and various types of birds. 60% of the entire forest area is mountainous, and the remaining part is flat. The altitude of this sanctuary ranges from 150 m (490 ft) to 1,300 m (4,300 ft).
- 4 Sevoke Railway Bridge (on River Teesta near Mahananda Wildlife Sanctuary). A railway bridge, about 1 km (0.62 mi) long, connecting Darjeeling district of West Bengal with Kalimpong district and Jalpaiguri district.
