Simunul is a coastal municipality in the island province of Tawi-Tawi in Bangsamoro. It is home to some relics of what is believed to be the first mosque in the Philippines, the Sheik Karimul Makhdum Mosque, mostly built in the 1960s.

- 2 Masjid Shiekh Karimul Makhdum, Barangay Tubig Indangan. The Sheikh Karimul Makhdum Mosque building dates from the 1960s. Four old mosque pillars found within the mosque are from the 17th century. According to local lore, the original mosque, built in the indigenous sacred Moro pagoda architectural style, was established in 1380, making it the oldest mosque in the Philippines and in Southeast Asia.
- 3 Papa Bull’s Park. 8AM-5AM. Papa Bulls in the swampy mangrove area within the municipal complex of the Municipality of Simunul. This crocodile is now a major tourist attraction where several people come to view it. free.
- Bagid Beach Resort (Tahing-Tahing Beach). During the American period, a group of soldiers arrived here only to be bewildered by its natural beauty. Inspired by the tropical landscape, they composed a song titled “Tawi-Tawi Beach”. It’s a popular site for picnic goers with its crystal-clear waters.
