Slovak Tokaj is a region in Eastern Slovakia, near the Hungarian Tokaj region.

[edit]An agreement signed in June 2004 ended a conflict between Hungary and Slovakia, allowing winemakers on 907 hectares in seven Slovak villages to manufacture Tokaj wine following the same quality standards issued by Hungary in 1990.

[edit]There are two train stations on the line between Košice and Čierna nad Tisou, with a train in each directions every 2 hours. Trains from Budapest and Miskolc terminate in Sátoraljaújhely.
