South Penghu Marine National Park Voyage Tips and guide

South Penghu Marine National Park (Chinese: 澎湖南方四島國家公園) is a marine park in the Penghu islands of Taiwan.

The South Penghu Marine National Park, literally translated as Penghu South Four Islands Park , consists of four main islands: Dongjiyu, Xijiyu, Dongyupingyu, and Xiyupingyu. In addition, there are several smaller islets: Toujin, Tiezhen, Zhongzai, Zhumujiao, Erwen, Xianglu, Chutoujiao, Chai'anwen, Liwenzai.

If you are in Jiangjun, you can depart from 23.211120.0881 Jiang Jyun Fishing Port (將軍漁港).   to Dongjiyu. Journey takes about one hour.

If you are already in Magong, you can go from23.566119.5722 Magong Nanhai Harbor (馬公南海碼頭).   to Wangan, and then continue from 23.361119.5083 Wangan fishing harbor (望安潭門港).   to Xiyupingyu, Dongyupingyu and Dongjiyu.

Xijiyu has no pier, so you can only admire it from the sea.

Except for protected basalt reserve islands such as Xijiyu, Toujin, and Tiezhen, you can explore freely without the need for complicated permit applications. As long as you stay on the paved roads, you can also get around and enjoy Dongjiyu.

You can walk, or if you really don't want to walk, there are motorcycle rental shops on Dongjiyu, but you'll still have to walk on Dongyupingyu.

There are no shops on the island. However, you can purchase coin sets themed after the South Penghu Marine National Park at post offices throughout Taiwan.

Your accommodation is likely to provide meals; otherwise, it is best to return to Wang'an Township or the main Penghu islands for more options.

There is limited shade on the island, so be sure to use sun protection and stay hydrated. Watch out for snakes, and please stick to designated paths.

• Back to the Wangan, then go to Magong.
• You can return to Jiangjun from Dongjiyu.
