    Spring Hill is in Hernando County in West Central Florida. It is one of the larger cities in its region of the state, with a population estimated at 114,000 in 2017.

    After existing as little more than a dot on the map for over a hundred years, in 1967 Spring Hill was founded by the Deltona Corporation and Mackle Brothers as a planned community similar to that of Deltona to the east.
