Public transport is limited, but on weekdays it is possible to take the local Yellow bus route from Martz Trailways Terminal with downtown.

Uptown Vans has several carriers operating from different stops in Downtown Stroudsburg and East Stroudsburg on routes traveling from Paterson and New York City. These stops are centrally located, though advance reservations are needed as the vans often sell out quickly.

A limited bus system is run by MCTA. Services are generally weekdays-only, with a few routes having a limited service on Saturdays.

Stroudsburg is the gateway to both the Pocono Mountains and the Delaware Water Gap with lots of hiking, skiing, and water activities depending on the season.
