[edit]The dry season in Suleja is hot and partially cloudy, whereas the wet season is warm, stuffy, and cloudy. The average annual temperature is 60–93 °F (16–34 °C); it is rarely lower or higher than 55 °F (13 °C) or 100 °F (38 °C). Late October through early March are the ideal months to visit Suleja for hot-weather activities.
History
[edit]It was established in the early 19th century by Mohammed Makau, the last Hausa emir of Zaria and his followers who were fleeing the Fulani jihadists engaged in the conquest of northern Nigeria. Zaria, or Zazzau, was one of the Hausa city/states of Northern Nigeria which were being conquered by the Fulani jihadists under their charismatic Sheik, Usman Dan Fodio.

[edit]There are numerous available transportation options for travellers and intending visitors who intend to travel across the city and other secluded parts of the northern city. Visitors have the option of travelling to Suleja by flight or by road.
By plane
[edit]Minna Airport is 10 km northwest of Minna, Niger State. The airport although mainly used for Hajj operations also operates domestic and international flights.
By road
[edit]This travel option entails the use of the interstate buses, taxis or private vehicles. Like most of the capital cities in the country, Suleja has a standard garage fleet that transports travellers to other parts of the country. These interstate buses usually have major parks that convey travellers from state to state. Nonetheless, travellers from Abuja to Suleja would need to use a taxi particularly because of the proximity of the two cities.
