Region name: Capitalize badlands?
[edit]
Capitalization also appears consistent with local usage -- either as "Canadian Badlands" or "Alberta Badlands". This includes: Travel Alberta [1], Royal Tyrrell Museum (one of the main attractions in the region) [2], Canadian Badlands (tourism site) [3] and canada.com [4].
Based on the above, the local usage seems to treat it as a "place". Per our naming convention then, I think the name should be changed back to "Alberta Badlands". Agreement? -Shaundd (talk) 19:48, 4 September 2013 (UTC)
- I moved it, thinking I was following policy, but would not object to seeing it moved back. Pashley (talk) 10:56, 5 September 2013 (UTC)
- Something can be a proper noun without being official. Like Niagara Frontier or Pittsburgh Region. LtPowers (talk) 13:17, 5 September 2013 (UTC)
