The North Coast of Tamil Nadu consists of Chengalpattu, Chennai, Kanchipuram and Tiruvallur districts.

- 5 Kanchipuram — temple, one of the seven holy cities in the country. Renowned for Kanchipuram silk sarees
- 6 Mamallapuram (Mahabalipuram) — UNESCO Heritage Site. Ancient temples and carves, outstanding examples of Dravidian art and architecture
- 7 Pulicat (Pazhaverkadu) — former Dutch colony. Colonial legacy. Lagoon and mangroves
