Understand
[edit]Tangub was named after indigenous Subanen word for a type of rice container made from rattan strips. Originating as a small town near Panguil Bay, it became a city in 1967, but it retains a small-town charm. With the opening of the Panguil Bay Bridge, it became the new gateway to Misamis Occidental from Northern Mindanao.
