Theni is a town in western Tamil Nadu, in southern India.

There are a lot of places to visit around Theni. Theni is where you can stay and catch buses or drive a car to go around the places. Theni was the first district in Tamil Nadu to get three international accreditation certificates – Quality Management System (ISO 9001), Environment Management System (ISO 14001) and Occupational Health and Safety Management (ISO 18001).

• 10.1803577.530541 Kumbakarrai Falls (coming from Dindigul need to cross the by-pass junction and approach towards the town of Periyakulam, then take right at the very entrance of the town to continue for almost 10 Kms to reach the base station. upon this you need to collect tickets costing ₹20-50 (depends on the season) and trek for 1.5 km to reach the falls.). depends entirely on the rainfall. but closure time is 4:30 PM after which there will be no one allowed to enter..

• 10.0533377.589724 Vaigai Dam. This is a famous dam across Vaigai river. Built across the majestic River Vaigai near Andipatti, the dam with a height of 111 feet can store 71 feet of water. It is 7 km from Andipatti, 14 km from Theni and 70 km from Madurai. This dam was opened on January 21, 1959. The dam is unique for the sylvan garden around it. It is a popular picnic spot in this area.

A densely forested place replete with natural flora and fauna is 6.5 km from Theni in the Varushanadu hill ranges. it is a part of "Srivilliputtur Megamalai Tiger Reserve" aimed to protect the Tigers and its biodioversity. • Kurangani. Kurangani is a hill station atop the Western Ghats accessed from Bodinayakkanur in Tamil Nadu, India. Tamil films like Pithamagan, Avan Ivan, Mynaa, Kumki, Vettai, Settai, Dheena, Yaa Yaa and Sundhara pandiyan were all shot in this location. (updated Dec 2016)
• Bodinayakkanur — on the foothills of the West Ghats, west of Theni, this town is popular for cardamom mango and coffee market. Bodi Mettu, a hill resort situated at a height of 4500 feet, it is a most scenic place. It is 26 km from Bodinayakkanur.
