Tra Vinh Voyage Tips and guide

You can check the original Wikivoyage article Here

Tra Vinh is a city in southern Vietnam.

    Get in

    [edit]

There are direct minibuses from Ho Chi Minh city. Another option is to arrive by boat. Either a private charter or you can try to get on a cargo boat from Ben Tre.

    Get around

    [edit]

The centre itself is small enough to cover on foot. To explore the greater area you can rent a bike from the tourist office or via some hotels.

The tourist office sells a map (20,000 dong, Jan 2012) which covers both the city and Tra Vinh Province.

There is a place to rent motorbikes on Nguyen Thi Minh Khai 42B (about 5-10 minute walk from the centre). The shop is called Nguyet. Price for a decent automatic is 200,000 dong, a manual transmission is 100,000-150,000 dong. (Jan 2012)

    See

There is a big market right in the centre. The city also has some Khmer pagodas.

Explore the centre on foot, or rent a bike to see the province of Tra Vinh. The beach is supposed to be one of the nicest in the Mekong Delta.
